DJI Mavic 3 Review – Finally The Wait Is Over!

Howdy reader! Waiting for the DJI Mavic 3 to hit the market? As it is expected to launch in Q1 2020, people are going crazy even before its launch. But before that get ready for an awesome DJI Mavic 3 review. We’ll talk about what’s new in this drone and how is it different from previous DJI Mavic models. Are you excited? If the answer is yes then let’s get started.

DJI Mavic 3 Review – In Brief

Before we get to an in-depth review of the specs and performance of this new drone, We need to take a look at some of the most anticipated features of it.

  • AirSense
  • OcuSync 3.0
  • Active Track 3.0
  • Return Home without GPS
  • Hasselblad HNCS Technology

Is this deal-breaker? Somewhat, It depends on how you want to use your drone. Let’s get to the explanation part and go through each one of the points thoroughly.

It’s actually quite rather simple information leaked and talking about the design, It is more or less the same right now. What is expected is that this new drone would be out in Q1 2020 that we’ll see. But then considering Mavic 2 has been out for about a year it’s very likely that they would revamp the popular Mavic pro series. So of course, they might go in the two directions of having Pro as well as zoom.

Hi guys, this is Vicky! So I want to actually talk a little bit about some rumors that are sort of starting to brew, and it is about the DJI Mavic 3. Everyone has somehow seen the famous or, infamous Twitter handle called Azita LV where he leaked some rumors about Mavic 3, and what the key functions will be so I’ll just quickly run down through the list. And see what we’re expecting so it will help you sort of make the right choice if you’re looking into getting a drone late this year.

In the above list, we have seen what are the key features that are being included in this new drone which leads us to our first beloved feature OcuSync, It would be rolled out in version 3.

OcuSync 3.0

With OcuSync 3.0, It is rumored that the latency of the drone communication will be lower (as low as 28ms, which is incredible in my opinion) and the distance & range (Up to 10 Kms) will be longer than the previous Mavic models which are featuring older version 2.0. Also, the link speed will be 60 Mbps. Why is it better than Lightbridge? Because being a software DJI can update it anytime. Although there are some hardware limitations to it, it’s still better to have it.

Don’t forget to check out how far drones can fly?

Hasselblad HNCS

An active track version 3.0 will be rolled out as well and, what’s exciting is that it would have this unprecedented resolution and clarity of machine vision. With the help of Active Track, Mavic 3 can follow you and keep you in the frame even in a complex environment. Therefore, you can focus on your work while Mavic 3 takes care of the rest.

Active Track 3.0

As everyone was expecting from DJI that the camera would be improved. Mavic 3 Pro is currently rumored to have this latest technology from Hasselblad HNCS (which is Hasselblad Natural Color Solution Technology). Therefore, Mavic 3 pro would be equipped with a brand new L2D-20C camera with a bigger f2.0 aperture then, of course, the image quality will be even better than what we’ve seen in Mavic 2 drone.

Return to home without GPS

And coming to the last but not the least. Vision sensing will be improved as well, It would be featuring about 10 cameras all around the drone. So in total of 64-megapixel vision sensing which will help you in overcoming obstacles during flight. Saving you a lot of bucks and your drone from crashing.

AirSense

Yes! You read it right. Mavic 3 is rumored to have this function of returning to a home without GPS. That’s pretty amazing. Wondering how it is possible? The rumor says that they would use machine vision and so on. We’ll see, how that technology will come about.

Extras

So are you excited? I’m actually really excited because you know my friends are flying better drones, I’m looking into upgrading so I’ll keep you guys posted on the rumors based DJI Mavic 3 review, and I’ll come back with the real test of Mavic Mini. See ya!

Conclusion – DJI Mavic 3 Review

We also heard someone whispering that Mavic 3 it will have an always-on advanced pilot assistant system. It would help the drone sort of fly avoiding any obstacles on the way(in addition to AirSense), and that would be improved.
